Role: 

Tentarix’s Cell Biology team is seeking a highly motivated and outstanding Senior Scientist to lead discovery efforts in building and executing on multifunctional biologics for oncology and autoimmune indications. The Senior Scientist is expected to independently develop various in vitro studies accountable for moving multiple programs forward, to mentor and train group members as well as communicate and collaborate across teams. The candidate is expected to contribute at the bench in data generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the development and implementation of cell line and primary cell-based assays to assess the activity of multi-functional biologics – includes cell-binding, signaling, and downstream assays
  • Contribute to scientific discussions and planning/prioritization of group activities to support multiple programs
  • Clearly communicate and coordinate relevant activities between teams to ensure programs remain on timeline
  • Summarize and clearly communicate data that is being generated through verbal updates and PowerPoint presentations in scientific meetings; maintains a meticulous record of their research
  • Provide scientific and technical leadership to research associates
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or Cancer Biology or a related field with postdoctoral training and 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Expertise in flow cytometry panel design and analysis a must
  • Expertise in the development of whole blood and/or PBMC-based assays required and experience in assessing the specificity and functional outcomes of multi-specific biologics (flow cytometry, cytokine analysis, proliferation) preferred
  • Knowledge and previous experience with cytokine signaling preferred
  • Experience with immuno-oncology and autoimmune disease biology preferred
  • Expand in-house capabilities in the assessment of novel multi-specific biologics
  • Excellent organization and verbal communication skills desired; ability to multitask and desire to work in a fast-faced environment required
  • Goal oriented, organized, capable of prioritizing across multiple projects, and able to execute to timelines that meet company goals
  • Build strong lines of communication with other teams at Tentarix and external scientists on partnered programs to ensure proper hand-offs, maintain efficient workflows and maximize our capabilities
  • Maintain a culture of innovation and continual improvement
  • Contribute to scientific discussions, regulatory filing, and intellectual property documents

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Tentarix, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 – 145,000 + bonus target + benefits + equity.
