Role:

Tentarix Biotherapeutics seeks an (Associate) Director of Program and Alliance Management to closely collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and Chief Scientific Officer to help drive our innovative programs both internally and with partners. The (Associate) Director will be involved in the planning of upcoming projects, tracking ongoing external business and scientific activities, and developing processes and systems for forecasting, prioritization, and execution of research and technology programs. The (Associate) Director will be expected to develop an understanding of existing and upcoming projects and contractual obligations, and will be responsible for identifying dependencies between projects and individuals involved to ensure alignment on expectations, deadlines, resourcing, and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and management of project plans and integrated timelines for projects and resource management tracking
  • Act as alliance manager for external partnerships, responsible for owning the contractual relationship and commitments
  • Facilitate and document external and internal team meetings to enable cross-functional communication, decision-making, and alignment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for ensuring collaborative partnerships, communication, documentation, and alignment with agreed upon project plans and deliverables with outside collaborators

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a business and/or biology discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a biotech/pharma and/or academic research environment
  • Understanding of protein therapeutic drug development from discovery to the clinic
  • Proficiency with project management software tools SmartSheet and Sharepoint
  • Experience facilitating and documenting team meetings to enable cross-functional communication, decision-making, and alignment with internal and external stakeholders while managing project scope, deliverables, risks, and resources
  • Outstanding organization and planning skills to effectively manage competing priorities, resources, and activities within and across a diverse portfolio of projects and programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information, issues, and potential solutions across the organization, including leadership and external collaborators
  • Ability to foster partnerships and effective collaboration within and across teams.
  • Ability to design and implement large-scale process improvements
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Based in San Diego, but will consider candidates based on the West Coast for remote work, with an expectation of in-office work at least one week per month for an outstanding remote candidate. Relocations will be considered for an outstanding candidate, but at the applicant's expense.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Tentarix, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $166,000 – $220,000 + bonus target + benefits + equity.
