Role:

The Research Associate will participate in the development and maintenance of Tentarix’s mammalian protein expression platform. Additionally, this person will support molecular biology, plasmid design, construction, and characterization.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of Tentarix’s mammalian expression platform.
  • Perform transfections and develop/optimize small- and large-scale suspension HEK293/CHO cultures.
  • Support characterization of our molecules by biochemical and cell-based assays.
  • Support molecular biology design and construction of complex biologics, monoclonal and multi-specific antibodies, and soluble and membrane bound receptors.
  • Independently plan and execute experiments, analyze results, and present data at team meetings.
  • Maintain a meticulous record of their research.

 Qualifications and Skills:

  • B.S., plus 0-2 or more years of experience with recombinant protein expression using mammalian systems, ideally in an industrial setting. More experienced applicants will also be considered.
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian transient expression systems and/or stable cell line selection for recombinant protein expression and characterization is preferred.
  • Technical experience in the development and execution of protein quantification and detection assays, such as ELISAs, is desired.
  • Some experience with molecular biology or a willingness to learn molecular biology is a plus.
  • Goal oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking
  • Thrive in a cross functional team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Tentarix, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 - $82,000 + bonus target + benefits + equity.
