Role:

Tentarix Biotherapeutic’s Cell Biology team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to support screening and characterization of engineered protein therapeutics. The candidate will use biochemical, cellular, or immunological assays with primary cells and cell lines to move forward the development of multifunctional biologics. We are seeking an individual who will thrive in a start-up environment and works well across groups in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of in vitro or ex vivo assays to characterize receptor binding, signaling, cell activation/suppression, and other functional readouts using a variety of techniques including flow cytometry-based assays, ELISA, and reporter assays
  • Independently plan and execute experiments, analyze results, and present data at team meetings
  • Maintain a meticulous record of their research

Qualifications and Skills:

  • M.S./B.S. with 2-6+ years of industry experience in the field of cell biology, immunology, or cancer biology
  • Expertise in the execution of flow-cytometry panel design, analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting required
  • Experience with isolation of human PBMCs from blood and PBMC-based assays; immune cell differentiation/activation a plus
  • Experience in maintaining mammalian cell lines and with mammalian cell transfection desirable
  • Experience with ELISA, MSD, and other immunological multiplexing assays desirable
  • Experience in gene expression and signaling pathway analyses as well as mechanistic studies in immuno-oncology and immunology research a plus
  • Goal oriented, organized, capable of multitasking
  • Thrive in a cross functional team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Tentarix, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $81,000 – $100,000 + bonus target + benefits + equity.
